Why this course exists
AI is already in your clinic. This course decides how well you use it.
AI tools are already present in clinical practice — in the phone a colleague uses to check a drug interaction, in an ambient scribe a neighboring clinic has piloted, in the chatbot a patient consulted before ever walking through the door. What is still very much in question is whether physicians use these tools well: whether AI extends sound clinical judgment or quietly substitutes for it.
This course trains practicing physicians to integrate AI tools into daily clinical workflows deliberately, safely, and sustainably — not to promote AI adoption for its own sake, and not to dismiss it out of caution alone. It was written specifically for Timor-Leste and similar settings: intermittent connectivity, multilingual encounters, tools validated on populations that don’t resemble local patients, and a regulatory landscape still catching up with the technology already in use.
